REVIEW: Snoe Shoo-Zit Dont Bother Me! Wash Away Those Zits Deep Cleansing Acne Wash

Heeeey! I won't be making excuses of why I was absent for the month of May -- I've been lazy and depressed hahaha. So , let's just jump to the review of my current favorite face wash.
Snoe Shoo-Zit Dont Bother Me!
Wash Away Those Zits Deep Cleansing Acne Wash
Price: 349php (100ml)
Bought from: Snoe stall at the BDJ BOX Fair

I have been suffering from super nasty breakouts and I was searching for a good cleanser to use. Before using this Snoe product, I have been using the Shiseido cleanser from my February BDJ Box and it really worked for me but I didn't have the resources (a.k.a. moolah, I'm so broke OTL) to get another one so I landed with the Snoe Wash Away Those Zits Cleanser. It's not that expensive and I really wanted to try a Snoe product (proud Pinoy!).

Here's a description of the product from its box.

Ingredients and other Information

I've been using this face wash for a couple of weeks now (probably about 2 months already) and I'm about to finish it hihih. It has a gel-ish liquid consistency and it doesn't foam a lot when I use it on my face. I usually wet my face first to get the amount of suds I want from the cleanser and I feel like my face is cleaner that way. Also, I use this every morning and night since I got it.

What I like about this product:
  • It is very easy to use with a pump to get the product out.
  • I can use it for a long time (2 months and counting) since I only need about 3-4 pumps per use.
  • It WORKS! I have experienced fewer episodes of pimple breakout since I've used it. I still get pimples from time to time especially before and during "that time of the month" (my hormones become crazy b*****s at these times, ugh) but whenever I do, it will all dry up after 2-3 days (of course, with the help of another snoe product which I will make a review on another post).
  • It has a distinctive smell, at first I thought it's a little funky but I got used to it and I'm loving it now! ♥
  • It's only 349php!!!
What I don't like about this product:
  • Maybe it's just me but I like cleaning my face with a lot of suds and I have a hard time getting the amount of suds I like from this product. So, as mentioned above, I wet my face first (as in tsunami wet, I needed to splash a lot of water to my face first) before using the face wash and voila! I get my suds and I'm happy! hahahaha
Overall, I LOVE it!!!! I am giving it a 4.5/5 score! I recommend this product to girls (or guys) who have acne problems like me! I hope it works for you too just as it worked for me!

You can buy this product on all Snoe outlets and stores or online at SnoeBeauty. :)

I'll be buying another bottle of this soon! heheh How about you guys?  What facial cleansers do you use? I'd like to know especially the ones effective on acne hihihih Thanks! :D

REVIEW: L'Oréal Magic Smooth Soufflé

Heeey! I'm back! hihihi

I have been using this product for a while now but recently I only seldom use it since it's soo hot, I usually prefer my Lioele BB Cream when I go out.

Anyway, today I'm going to talk about my L'Oréal Magic Smooth Soufflé. This was given by my aunt to my mom but I asked both of them if I can have it instead hohohohoh. Anyway, I'm not sure if it's available locally but I've done my research and it would have cost about 650php ($15.95) or higher if it we're sold here.

L'Oréal Magic Smooth Soufflé in Nude Beige

"Every stunning look begins with a gorgeous foundation. L’Oréal’s Magic Smooth™ Soufflé creates a flawless, silky, even-toned finish. Apply it daily to achieve smooth, poreless perfection. Available in a wide range of tones, Magic Smooth™ Soufflé is versatile enough to beautify every skin type."

First off, this foundation is air-whipped, I was actually surprised when I first opened it since it was the first time for me to encounter a foundation which is not as "liquid" as the usual ones. It promises to be lightweight and with breathable coverage.

It has a grainy texture which you will see more in the following photos. Here are my swatches, a bit blurry though, I'm having trouble steadying the camera with only one hand, I'm sorry OTL haha. I did not edit the following photos except adding my cute(haha self-proclaimed :P) watermark.

I've used a spatula to get the product from the pot since I think it'll prevent bacterial contamination more instead of using my fingers. The grainy texture is more visible here, right?

Even though it has a grainy texture at first, it blends easily on my hands and face. At first I thought it'd be hard for me to use but it was really easy, definitely noob-friendly. :)

IN-DEPTH

Applying it was really easy for me especially while using a brush to blend it on my face. I haven't tried using my fingers to apply it because I don't like how it feels in my fingers after hehehe. It actually provided a lot of coverage on my face since I have a lot of post-acne marks right now.

This is how I looked like with just the foundation on (with primer). There are still some spots which are not covered but those were the really dark or bumpy ones on my forehead, so I think this foundation still aced my coverage test. By the way, I did not use any concealer on this photo, I just put on another layer of the foundation on my problem spots especially on my eyebags and scars.

Then I just added the rest of my makeup to add color to my face hehehe.

I have used the foundation both indoors and outdoors to test it out. On both times, I felt oily on my T-zone area after a few hours and I needed to re-apply a powder to stop the oil-fest on my T-zone. BUT! I can say that it had done a great job on my cheeks. Even after hours of wearing it, my cheeks felt smooth and supple. So I'd probably recommend this to people with normal to dry skin because I think this would be an awesome foundation for them. I think it can still be used by people with oily skin since we can just apply powder from time to time because even when it felt oily for me, my face still looked okay. It wasn't shiny, it just felt oily and I have an oil-blotting sheet for that hehehe.

Anyway, this is one awesome foundation and I think I'd probably use it more during cosplays since it really has a good coverage and it looks good in photos hehehe.

Things I love about the L'Oréal Magic Smooth Soufflé:
  • It's noob-friendly as it's easy to blend especially since I'm using a brush to blend it.
  • It only takes a little amount to use on my entire face and neck.
  • I can skip on concealers with this because I can just add another layer on top of my problem marks.
  • It feels awesome on my cheeks, seriously!! I cannot emphasize it more! hahah
  • It's relatively cheap if it's available locally (I will research on this and find out and update this hehe)
  • I haven't experienced any break-outs from using this (which is AWESOME!)

However, I do have a list of the things I don't like with this foundation:
  • It's in a pot and I needed to use a spatula to get it out.
  • It gets kind of messy when I use the spatula hehe.
  • It doesn't have SPF and I don't like putting so much on my face so I tend to skip on my sunscreen when there's SPF on the product already.
  • It's a little heavy with its glass container and it might be hard to travel with it.
Overall, I'd give this product a 4/5 score and as the product promised, I can say that it is light-weight and has a breathable coverage. Thumbs up! :)

And because I'm feeling vain and I'm loving this new camera app with awesome filters, here's another photo of me hehehehhe

REVIEW: Lioele WaterDrop BB Cream

I love BB Creams! It's easy to use and totally lazy-friendly hehehe.

Anyway, here's a review of the BB cream I'm currently using and for now, my most loved BB Cream hihih. Since I started obsessing about makeup, I have tried five six (including this one) BB Creams from different brands and I never managed to finish all of them (except my first one) since they just don't live up to my expectations.

This BB Cream, on the other hand, is awesome!

Lioele is a Korean cosmetics brand which started in 2003 and is now making its mark in the beauty market. I learned about this brand from Jen of From Head to Toe. (She's my ultimate beauty idol. hihih). The brand isn't available in boutiques locally yet but there are already distributors here in the country -- there's a number of mall outlets and official online sellers already. If you're interested, you can check out LioelePH's site. I bought mine from Zalora though.

Here's a preview of the product from LioelePH's site:

Anyway, I love love this product. My face feels extra smooth after application and it is also refreshing especially on hot days. It feels like I'm not wearing any makeup at all. Its light, its cool and hydrates my skin too!

Note that I have the older packaging version of the product. I recently found out that it has been redesigned. So, to not confuse you guys, here's a photo of both versions.

A closer look..

Lioele's WaterDrop BB Cream comes in only one shade. I was actually a bit hesitant in buying the product but decided to go against my doubts instead. Good thing I did though because this one's a keeper! hehehe

It easily blends with my skin and adapts the right shade for my face.

As stated from the above preview, it forms water drops while you're blending it. The small white spots in the photo are actual water drops formed while I was blending it on the back of my hand.

And when I was done blending, my skin was instantly smoother. I love the feeling of a powdery finish when I'm done and it lasts long too. I was able to commute (bus --> lrt under the heat of the sun) to class, stay for 3-hours in an air-conditioned room and go back with my face still feeling smooth even when I got home that night. It has SPF 27 and has a good coverage too -- it covered a lot of my blemishes (and everybody knows that I have a lot of that! haha), although not entirely (but that's asking for too much hihih) and after a few hours, the coverage has diminished compared to when I first applied it. Anyway, for this product, my score is a 4.5/5. I wanted to post a photo of me with the product on but I wasn't able to do it -- I'll try to post one as soon as I can! :)

I'm planning to buy more Lioele products soon. I think I'll post a Lioele to-buy-list next time hihihih. I promise another blog post by next week -- I'm planning to make this atleast a weekly thing hihih.

REVIEW: Shiseido Maquillage Essence Glamourous Rouge & Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick

Hey!! I'm back hahahah. Sorry I haven't been able to keep my promise about posting last weekend hihihihih

Anyway, here's my review of the two Shiseido lippies (Is that even a word?! eeh, meh) I got from BDJ hehehe

I'll be reviewing these two:

Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick in RD142

Shiseido Maquillage Essence Glamourous Rouge in RD 396

Before everything else, I just want tell you guys that I was never a fan of lipstick before these products. My lips tend to dry a lot and I was comfortable to just using a lip balm and a tinted lip gloss (and RARELY use lip tints too when I feel like I want more color on my lips than usual). The only time I get to wear a lipstick or any other lip products is when someone puts it on my lips for me, as in when I am being given a makeover for whatever event in my life that's going to happen. I haven't even used the lipstick palette from a Clinique makeup set I have (actually it was my mom's but I literally begged her for it, telling her I needed it more hahaha). So trying these products is definitely a big deal for me.

I was actually really excited to try them out. I've had some reservations too, since it's my first time to willingly use one but when I did try them I was really relieved and very happy with the results.

I got this one from my February BDJ Box. It's a sample size of the Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick in RD142. I loved it already the first time I saw it! It's perfect for travelling, it's handy and can fit anywhere I want it to. I first tried it when I was at home, so that when my lips dry up I'd be in the comfort of my home and I'll be able to do something about it. Imagine my happiness when after a few hours of wearing it, my lips haven't shown even the slightest indication that it'll dry up. It felt natural on my lips and I felt as though I wasn't wearing anything on my lips at all.

And have I already mentioned before that I am a perpetual lip biter? I tend to lip bite when I'm nervous or when I'm thinking -- actually I tend to do it more when I'm not thinking hahah. But even with my habit of biting my lips a lot, I could still see the color on my lips by the time we had dinner that day and I've had the lipstick on since early afternoon. It faded a lot by dinner but the color stayed a lot longer than I expected it to. That counts for a lot right?

All in all, I'd say that my first lipstick experience was made awesome by the Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick. I would say that it's almost perfect but to be honest I was afraid of the shade that I got -- still afraid of it actually. I have natural dark lips -- darker than most girls -- and the shade I got was a matte red, I think (gaaaa sorry, I'm really bad with colors -- my boyfriend sometimes tease me about being color blind OTL). And I was worried that it'll come too strong on me since I'm not particularly in love with shades of red on my lips. So I'm saving this one for special events, maybe night outs with my family or friends. I would have loved to use it everyday but I don't think I'd be able to pull it off. I thought it actually looked good on me when I tried it, my boyfriend says so too but I think I'd be too self conscious to even be comfortable on wearing it on a daily basis. I think this lipstick a 4.5/5 product.

Next is the Shiseido Maquillage Essence Glamourous Rouge in RD 396. I got this weeks after the first one -- won it from the BDJ/Shiseido 7-day challenge (yay!!). I did some research on it and I learned that the Maquillage is a Shiseido sub-brand that caters for a more natural look on its users (if I'm not mistaken, please do correct me if I'm wrong). The shade RD396 is a relatively new shade added to their Essence Glamourous Rouge, which now has 10 shades to offer.

What I first loved about it was its packaging. It's cute and classy hihihi. Next is it's shade -- it's perfect! I love love love it so much I wanted to use it everyday (though I'm saving it for when I go out during the day hihih). Again, it has a very lasting effect on my lips, though you won't notice the shade once it fades out, it lasted for a good 3-4 hours when I first used it. My lips felt smoother and plumper. My lips dried a little after it faded out but reapplying it was good enough to save my drying lips. What's more is that it's easy to apply, it has a unique applicator that makes it very noob-friendly!

I tried it both with my lip balm on and without. Honestly, I liked wearing it with my lip balm. It felt a bit too sticky for me when I didn't apply my lip balm first but that's just me. I like the perfect rouge lipstick better but the shade of the maquillage I got scores a lot more but that's just because I think I could use it more during the day because I rarely go out at night heheh. Overall, I think this one is a 4/5 product.

Here are the swatches of the two products, the one on the right(R) is the Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick and the left(L) one is the Shiseido Maquillage Essence Glamourous Rouge.

Whew, that was long. So that's it with my review. I'll be doing a review of my current favorite BB cream next, maybe in a week, if I'm not so busy or lazy hahah.

SampleRoom/Shiseido 7-day Challenge

This is another Shiseido 7-day challenge, but this time it's in collaboration with SampleRoom
(Check it out!)

Anyway, I got these samples for FREE!!! I just paid for the shipping fees and it was delivered straight to my home (how cool is that?!). It is really amazing, the sampleroom is and I've been a fan since I read them on a blog (forgot whose it was though, sorry OTL). They have excellent customer service too! I love it!

Going back to the topic, I got a Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Brightening Mask, a 9ml sample of  Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum and a sample of Celeteque MakeUp Remover Cleansing Facial Wipes (haven't tried this one yet since I'm saving it for later).

I started the 7-day challenge on Feb28, that was the day after my first 7-day challenge heheh.

As usual, I've used the spot serum in the morning after I wake up and at night just before I go to sleep. Sometimes, when I have to leave in the middle of the day and put on makeup, I also use the serum just before applying my makeup on.

I only have to use a small amount of it to cover the spots on my face -- take note that I really have a LOOOOOOT of dark spots on my face -- so I was really happy that I could still use just a little bit of the serum for the oh-so-many spots.

It's a little on the viscous side so I had to apply it on fast since it tends to dry up fast.

I used the mask on the 7th day. I cannot stress enough how much I love this mask. It is really refreshing and I think it dries up my pimples too (to an extent hihi).  It fits perfectly on my face and I can move around the room without being scared of it falling off. It is truly an awesome mask!

Since, I had issues the last time I used the mask, I made sure I was really careful with it this time. I left the mask on for 15 minutes, and place the remaining liquid onto a clean jar. I massaged my face with the remaining serum and left it on to dry. It was a huge help that I was really tired and very sleepy that day that I didn't make a fuss on how it felt on my face. When I woke up the next morning, my face felt amazing! Oh and I forgot to mention that I had this huge zit (again!) on the night of Day 7 but wait 'til you see my Day 8 photo. I super love this mask!

Day 1(Feb 28) and Day 7(Mar 7)
The scars were significantly lighter by Day 8.

I'm very happy with these products and will continue using it as it proved to be very effective on my sensitive/combination-oily skin. Did I mention that I especially love the mask?? It's so awesome and I'm loving it more with each use :D

The scars on my chin were almost completely gone too. Yay!

Thank you Shiseido and SampleRoom! :D

Excuse my crappy photos since I forgot to charge the camera's batteries
and opted to use my phone's camera instead. I've been really busy lately and
I blame it on my school projects that I finally got to pass earlier aaaand
playing Pokemon Black 2 hihihi.

Shiseido/BDJ 7-Day Challenge 2 of 2

Part 2, yay!

I got a huge zit on the night of Day4. It was really big and red and I knew that it'd definitely leave its mark on my face (T_T). Anyway, let me leave my Day5 photo with the huge zit and I'll make a connection later hihi.

Day 5

Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Brightening Mask

I used the mask on the 7th day when I got home from class. I took my midterm exam that day and I was really stressed out. The first thing I noticed about the mask is that it was really easy to put on. It fits my face really well and even when I moved around my room it just stays on my face. Since I was really stressed that day, the mask became a stress-reliever for me since upon putting it on I was instantly refreshed. It felt so cool on my face and it immediately perked me up. I especially loved it when the air from the fan hits on my face for that oh-so-cool feeling. :)

After 10 minutes, I removed the mask and decided to use the remaining liquid on the pack on my face. I thought it was a good idea then but after about 15 minutes, I felt it weird that my face isn't dry yet and it felt really oily. I think it would have been better if I saved the remaining ones in a jar and used it for later. I can firmly say, with this experience, that too much of a good thing is a bad thing haha. I even decided to use an oil control film to absorb some of the oil and it took me 6 sheets(or was it 8? I forgot :P) to get me to the feeling I was comfortable with.

However, even with that minor mishap, I still think that the mask is really a great product. After all, it was my own greediness that got me in trouble heheh.

Anyway, remember my Day5 photo above? I posted it too to show how awesome I believe the mask is. The huge zit started drying out on the night of Day6(with the help of my acne gel which I will do a review next time) and getting darker on my skin by morning of Day 7. When I used the mask on the night of Day 7 there wasn't much of a difference yet but when I woke up on Day 8, the dark spot left by the huge zit was unexpectedly lighter than the morning before. Usually, if I get a huge zit like that, it always end up with a really dark spot on my face and it will take some months for it to be just as light as when I used the mask.

Day 1(left) and Day 8(right)

So there, my Shiseido/BDJ 7-day challenge officially ends but I will definitely continue using the products because with using these products my skin felt better and I feel happier. I'm really happy with the results of my 7-day challenge. It's been a fun and busy week for me and the next weeks would probably be busier but I'll try to post as soon as I can. :D

Shiseido/BDJ 7-Day Challenge 1 of 2

Hello hello! I'm writing this on the 5th day after my Day 7 of the challenge. I've been so busy lately with school and other stuff that I wasn't able to write earlier OTL.

Anyway, to start off, let me first talk about my skin. I have a very sensitive skin, there may be more products in the market which make me break out than those that do not (sad T_T), plus I have hormone problems so it's common for me to get pimples every month and these pimples would always leave dark spots on my face. I've been to four dermatologists already but I never follow through with the treatment regimen because of reasons (hehe). So..

I have received my February BDJ Box last February 21 and immediately started on the challenge.

Shiseido Benefiance Extra Creamy Cleansing Foam

I love how my face feels really clean upon using this product. It feels so smooth when I was massaging it on my face and yet, after I finished rinsing, my face feels squeaky clean. It has a nice smell, I feel like it smells a little musky. It actually reminds me of an oatmeal bar soap but creamier and with smoother results.

Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum

Ordering and receiving the Shiseido Exclusive BDJ Box was really timely since I have had a lot of breakouts since the start of the year. It was really a blessing and a surprise when I got my bdj box since I really needed it at the moment hihi. I wanted to target the dark spots on my cheeks and chin. I was actually worried that the 2ml sample would not be able to last until the 7th day because I really had a lot of spots to take care of (there are dark spots on my forehead too but I decided to focus on my cheeks and chin for now) but I'm proud to say that this 2ml sample exceeded my expectations and I'm really happy with it. The serum is a little on the viscous side so I had to be careful especially during opening and recapping since I don't want to waste any of it.

Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkle Resist24 Night Emulsion

I was really happy that I got the night emulsion instead of the day cream since my T-zone area tends to get really oily during the day so I usually skip on applying any products on my face especially when I'm just lurking at home. Anyway, I love love using this! My skin felt so smooth and supple the first time I've used it, especially on my cheeks. However, when I woke up in the morning, my T-zone area felt oilier than usual and it felt icky so I decided to just put it on my cheeks and chin every night. I think it worked out well for me since in the morning -- my cheeks especially feels soft while my forehead and nose were not excessively oily.

Day 1(Left) and Day 4(Right).
Some of the spots got lighter already on Day4, yay :)

Sooo, I will finish with the mask review and Day 7 photo on the next part of my Shiseido/BDJ Challenge. Check it out! ;D Part 2 of 2 of my Shiseido/BDJ 7-day challenge
